The industry of finances is an important aspect of the economy including/understanding of the banking operations, value and the activity credit rating of insurance. One expects that it offers many work depaiement, and sees the growth in next years. This report/ratio examines the industry of finances with regard to the African American, employment of women, Hispanic, Asian and American native of Indians/Alaskan. Of particular interest is the statute of these groups in positions of management. Data EEO-1 are used to examine the under-sectors of the industry of finances.
* The percentage of the civils servant and the directors of women is most in the under-sector of Banking/degré of solvency (48.6 percent) and their low percentage is in the under-sector of values (33.8 percent). The percentage of the civils servant and the directors of women in each under-sector falls below the percentage the women employed like professionals, who could be considered a source for work of management.
* One also observes similar disparities between the percentage of the civils servant and the African American directors and the percentage of the African American professionals. Among the under-sectors of financial sector, the percentage of the African American civils servant and the directors are most in the under-sector of Banking/degré of solvency (7.0 percent) and low in the under-sector of values (4.4 percent).
* The percentage of the civils servant and the Hispanic directors is most in the central under-sector of banking operations (5.1 percent) and low in the under-sector of values (2.9 percent). In all the under-sectors, the percentage of the Hispanic civils servant and the directors are less the this percentage of the Hispanic professionals.
* The highest percentage of the civils servant and the Asian directors is in the under-sector of values (6.4 percent) and the low percentage of the civils servant and the Asian directors is in banking operations and the insurance power stations (2.8 percent). Like the other examined groups, the percentage of the Asian civils servant and the directors fall below the percentage the Asian professionals in each under-sector.
* Employment as civils servant and directors is examined in more detail for each one of these groups by determining their chance to be civils servant and directors contrary to the professionals and the workmen of sales. This proves that each under-sector has a great part of establishments where such chances are unfavourable to the women, to the African Americans, with Hispanic and with Asian once compared with the white males. The entry in management can be a particular interest for the Asian ones.
* While the relative chance to be a civil servant or a director is better in the under-sector of values for each analyzed group, the low proportion of women and African American professionals in this under-sector can be partially responsible for these results.
